What is Ghosting?
Ghosting appears as a dark or blurry trail behind moving objects when liquid crystal transitions (GtG - Gray to Gray) cannot keep up with the frame rate. Fast IPS and OLED panels minimize ghosting to near-zero.
What is Overdrive Overshoot?
If your monitor's OSD "Overdrive" or "Response Time" setting is set too aggressively (e.g. Extreme), pixels receive too much voltage and overshoot their target color, creating bright white or inverse halos around moving shapes.
